Emily is a prolific writer, whose work has toured the globe.  Her plays span epic verse to theatre for young audiences, while her novels range from satire to high fantasy.  As an essayist, she has critiqued pop culture and social justice issues, written extensive theory on theatre practice, and served as a theatre critic in New York City.

Emily is the Host and Co-Creator of Hamlet to Hamilton: Exploring Verse Drama, an educational podcast teaching upcoming writers the tricks and tools of poetic theatre, as well as Emily In Audio, a teatime rainy day relaxing podcast, where Emily shares her favorite poems and short stories.  Emily is a voice actor, starring in The Ghost Ship audio drama from The Boston Metaphysical Society comic books, as well as other video games and radio plays.  She has written for audio drama, including the award-winning Moonologues from Quirky Voices Presents, with her spoken word poem: "The Distance That's Between Us Is The Moon."
