Full-Length Plays

The Table Round & The Siege Perilous

As a fan of Arthurian legends, I went into The Table Round with high expectations. My expectations were not merely exceeded, they were shattered.  ~ Clinton Powell
RUNTIME: Each play runs approximately 2.5 hours

SET: Minimal (A throne, a grail, swords and imagination)

CASTING: 6 Female Presenting, 6 Male Presenting, 1 Gender Non-Conforming (Masc), 1 Transfeminine or GNC.  Actor-Combatants preferred.

One-Act Plays

Jörmungandr

Loki, trickster god, seeks out their son, the World Snake, Jörmungandr, to beg the beginning of Ragnarok. A short, epic play in experimental poetic verse.
RUNTIME: 15 minutes, flexible

SET: Fantastical (puppets and projections and stage magic)

CASTING:  2 Voices; gender and number of actors flexible

Leviathan

Inspired by the short playlet by Thornton Wilder, a young nobleman, Lucentio, stumbles into the Basilica San Marco in Venice, having just survived a shipwreck. He is pursued by the mermaid, Brigomeide, who longs to take his soul - provided that he has one.
RUN TIME: Approximately 10-15 minutes

SET: A shipwreck, Basilica San Marco in Venice

CASTING: 1F, 2M, and sailors, mermaids, etc.

REFERENCES: Thornton Wilder's playlet, the books of Job and Noah, mermaid mythology

Adapted from the George MacDonald fairy tale, this theatre for young audiences is perfect for touring, and a lesson in empathy and the importance not only of laughter, but of sorrow.
RUNTIME: Approximately 30 minutes

SET: Minimal (Physical theatre encouraged; some props required)

CASTING: Flexible: 3 females, 2 males, 1-7+ any gender (6-13+ performers possible)

A Nutcracker Story

Tchaikovsky's classic ballet is re-imagined as an accessible play-with-dance, perfect for educational theatre. 
RUNTIME: Approximately 90 minutes

SET: Flexible (costumes more important)

CASTING: Expandable: 6+ females, 3+ males,  1-15+ any (10-50+ performers possible)
